Name: Anouk Shkadov [Ah-nook Shkah-doff] (Sister to Dmitri Shkadov)

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Race: Lycanthropus vulpine vulpes lagopus - The Arctic Werefox

Height: 5'6

Weight: 90lbs

Appearance: Blonde, pale-skinned and blue-eyed, Anouk would be Hitler's perfect little Aryan, if Aryans were allowed to be nonhuman, of course. Anouk has a delicate figure, slight but muscular so as not to be so affected by the colds of the Northern Coast of Russia. Anouk sports a thickly-furred coat even in summer, the origins of which may have been Sable, a small thick-hided mammal found in the Ural Mountains, west of their original home.

Personality: Anouk is polite, somewhat quiet, and nothing short of innocent. One would even go so far as to call her naiive, but there sparkles something in her blue eyes that tells of loss, of sorrow and grief that should not be experienced by one her age. Anouk looks up to her older brother, Dmitri, and although they may have their spats, as siblings might, she knows he is simply doing the best he thinks for her.
Anouk can most often been seen with a smile on her face, chattering to her brother about something or another. Quiet she might be, it does not take long for her to warm up to others, but no one will replace Dmitri.

Background: Anouk was born a werefox. Arctic fox, if one was to be absolutely correct. Living in the ice and snow was not easy so nomadic was something Anouk had to be ready to be. Moving from one place to another, finding different food sources, Anouk was relatively sheltered from the outside world, relying only on her parents and Dmitri for survival. One winter sticks in her mind, the blizzard becoming so bad that they were forced to hole up in an abandoned hut as wind and snow screamed at the edges of their small shelter.
Anouk only knows that their parents left during a small period of stillness, and never came back. She remembers huddling in the corner of the hut under a blanket while Dmitri left to go after them. She thinks she fell asleep, for next she knew was waking up to Dmitri shaking her and telling her they needed to leave. It was only when they were a distance away that Dmitri shared the news that her Mama and Papa were lost in the storm, likely frozen to death. The news hardened Anouk a little, but the truth would have broken her.
Vampyres had got wind of the presence of fox therians living on the Coast, and had come to investigate. Moving from one place to another was no longer simply to preserve food across the snow, but to try and shake the vampyres tracking them. Dmitri left the small hut, only to find their parents laying in the snow, stained red from their cut throats and the smoking silver bullets that riddled their corpses. They never stood a chance.
Dmitri now as her carer and sole living family, Anouk refuses to let him out of her sight, but for when he hunts. Hunting is something that must be done alone, as much as she wishes it were not. Dmitri has protected her from many of the horrors that life can bring, and she retains her almost childlike innocence, behaviour, and more importantly, happiness.
They may be fleeing from vampyres still, but all Anouk knows is that they're moving, to begin somewhere new, a fresh start to try and dull the sorrow in their past.

Weapons: Anouk carries a small hand-axe, although she's never had to use it as a weapon, Dmitri has oft borrowed it for just that purpose. It hangs from her belt, so that breaking wood for fires is not such an onerous task.

Powers: If she concentrates, Anouk can wake a once-slumbering part of her mind, allowing her to manipulate heat. Note that this is not fire, but she can induce burns by raising the temperature of the air around something. It comes in handy when drying out snow-logged wood to burn, and a blast of heat to snow will melt it into water, as a blast of heat to water will evaporate it into steam. Note also, that cold is simply the absence of heat, but Anouk finds it much harder to remove heat from something, than to give an object heat.

Extra info: Anouk's were-form boasts snowy white fur - a dead giveaway in anywhere but the frozen wastes of her homeland, Russia. Were-Anouk stands to the knee, with a thick, fluffy coat. Sneaky as she is, she's ill-suited to both combat and speed. She makes up for this with more than enough cunning and sneakiness.
